The Federal Government has banned sympathizers from paying a condolence visit to the Presidential Villa in Aso rock over the death of Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the president who died on 17 April 2020 after few weeks of testing positive to Coronavirus.

This was made known to the general public on Saturday, 18th April by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity via a tweet on his Twitter handle.

Shehu disclosed that the decision to make the funeral prayer and burial private was taken in observation of the protocol established by the NCDC and the Federal Government for the burial of Coronavirus victims.

He went further to encourage well-meaning friends, family, and the general public to pray for a peaceful rest of Abba Kyari's soul.
