A First Class Student Sentenced To 13 Years Imprisonment Including A N1,000,000 Fine.





Fisayo Adetoro, a final year student of Business administration in a private University, Ondo State precisely was found guilty of forgery, impersonation and money laundering on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

According to the report from the Economic and Financial  Crime Commission (EFCC),  Adetoro was convicted by justice Folashade Olubanjo of Federal High Court 1, Akure, in a criminal case filed against him by the EFCC. He was said to have had a Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of 4.5 in school.

Earlier 2017, he was arraigned on 18 January on a six-count charge filed against him but he pleaded not guilty of those charges. From the charge sheet, Adetoro allegedly registered a fake name for a Nigerian Driver's License with his picture on it and made away with huge sum of money.

Also, he was accused of laundering huge sums close to a million in Nigeria currency and falsely presenting himself as Bawa Mohammed sanni to defraud his victim of thousands of U.S Dollars.
